Linda Whittington's Memorial Service

Linda Whittington, a loving mother, friend, and long-time resident of Broomfield, Colorado. She entered the next phase of her life into eternity in heaven with the Lord on Saturday, September 13, 2025.  She faced her passing as she lived her life: with a deeply sustaining and inspiring faith in God, and an on-going, spontaneous outpouring of joy and gratitude.

Linda was born on July 22, 1952, in Lawrence, Massachusetts.  She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Yolo FUR-nuh-uff and Americo Riccio, and her younger sister Debbie. She is survived by her son, Eddie, granddaughters Rebekah and Rachel, sister Nancy, and nieces Andrea, Polly, and Amy.

Linda loved growing up in southern California, especially going to the Laguna Beach Coves, which was her prayer sanctuary. When she turned 40, she wanted to make a change and had the opportunity to move to beautiful Broomfield. She loved gardening and had many parties in her back yard, with ice cream socials being her favorite.

Upon retirement, Linda thoroughly enjoyed a wide range of community events and Broomfield Community Center activities, attending Silver Sneakers exercise classes, where she always warmly welcomed new participants, lunches, trips, craft shows, and updating the décor for the BCC Lounge seasonal tree, which brings smiles to many of all ages year-round. She loved her family of friends here.

More than anything in her life she loved Jesus. She inspired many to live their lives for Christ by her actions and words. She longed to see the face of Jesus for most our her life, and now she is gazing into the loving eyes of her Savior today.
