What does your life reflect?
In this Father’s Day message from 1 John 2:3–6, Pastor Kevin teaches through John’s powerful test of authentic Christianity: if we truly know Jesus, our lives should begin to reflect Jesus.
John is writing against the false spirituality of Gnosticism — the idea that you can “know God” spiritually while refusing to obey Him practically. But the Bible teaches something very different: real faith is not just what we say, it is what we reflect.
Using simple illustrations of light — absorption, refraction, reflection, the moon, a mirror, a rainbow, and even a funny bear story — this message shows how God’s Word changes us from the inside out. Light absorbs. Light refracts. Light reflects. And when we absorb the light of God’s Word, we are changed by the love of God, and others begin to see the glory of Jesus in our lives.
