Light Illuminates
What if the real test of walking in the light is not how much Bible you know… but how deeply you love?
In 1 John 2:7–11, John shows us that the command to love is both old and new. It is old because God has always commanded His people to love. But it is new because Jesus revealed what love truly looks like through His life, His humility, His sacrifice, and His cross.
This message, “LIGHT ILLUMINATES,” looks at how the true Light of Jesus exposes what is really inside of us. A person can claim to be in the light, know the right words, attend church, and be around spiritual things — but John says hatred reveals darkness still remains.
The light of Christ does not merely shine on us. It gets inside of us, drives out darkness, and begins to shine through us in love toward others. If you have been carrying bitterness, resentment, offense, hatred, unforgiveness, or spiritual pride, this message will challenge you to bring it into the light of Jesus.
