What if the promotion you're waiting for is on the other side of serving?
In 1 Samuel 16:14–23, David had already been anointed king, yet he was still watching sheep, playing his harp, and serving others. Before he wore a crown, he carried a towel. Before he led a nation, he learned to serve in obscurity.
