David danced before the LORD with all his might. But 2 Samuel 6 teaches us that worship is more than music, emotion, or singing loudly. Real worship is Spirit and truth, obedience and joy, reverence and passion. David learned that God’s presence could not be approached on his own terms. Then, when the ark finally entered Jerusalem according to God’s Word, David held nothing back. And Jesus takes this truth even further. He perfectly lived for the glory of His Father, became the sacrifice for our sin, and opened the way for us to live in the presence of God. So stop saving your passion for everything else. Take six steps. Repent. Worship. Repeat. Worship God with all your might—for an audience of One.
