In this message, Faith Reigns, we continue our Hall of Faith series by looking at Hebrews 11:32–34 and the life of David. David is one of the most well-known figures in the Bible—a shepherd boy, giant slayer, fugitive, king, sinner, and songwriter. But beyond the familiar story, the Psalms give us something deeper: a behind-the-scenes look at what David actually believed about God in every season of his life.
From the fields of obscurity, to the battlefield with Goliath, to the caves while running from Saul, to the throne of Israel, to his deepest failure, and finally to the end of his life—David’s songs reveal that even though he sat on the throne as king, God sat on the throne of his heart.
Through David’s life we see that faith reigns:
In Obscurity — God Sees
In Battle — God Fights
In Waiting — God Works
In Sin — God Forgives
In Faithfulness — God Sustains
If you’ve ever felt overlooked, overwhelmed, stuck in a season of waiting, burdened by failure, or simply wondering how to walk with God over the long haul—this message will show you that faith is not about controlling your life. Faith is about surrendering to the God who reigns over it. The same God who led David is the same God who is leading you.
