SUBMITTED
Submission does not make a man weak—it places his strength under the authority of God.
In 2 Samuel 7, David had the vision, resources, and desire to build God a temple, but God gave that assignment to someone else. David could fight when God said fight, sit when God said wait, and gather materials for the next generation when God chose another man to finish the work.
Jesus is the perfect submitted Man. He obeyed the Father from the carpenter’s shop to the cross. He did not shed the blood of others to build His Kingdom—He shed His own blood to purchase His church.
Can God tell you to fight, wait, build, serve, or prepare—and still receive your full obedience when you will not be “the guy”?
